⬇️⬇️The setback⬇️⬇️

So Friday morning the salon is booming, me and Sarah are in good spirits, having a laugh and looking after are clients as we always do. I come out of treatment around 12.30pm and check my phone and I automatically know something’s gone wrong from all the messages and missed calls on my phone. I manage to make my way through social media and try to piece together the unbelievable news of what boris has done to us!!

You see the next day and for the next 2 weeks after that me and Sarah were absolutely packed with clients and here he is telling us with only a few hours notice before we close that we are going to have to cancel 80% of our clients?!! To say we were gutted is an understatement, did we have a cry?! Yes I’ll be honest we both did, we feel our industry has been kicked to the gutter and no one really cares about us. I understand we need local lockdowns etc to look after everyone but the 4hrs notice is just unacceptable for our business or any other beauty business!

We are full of PPE visors, aprons, gloves, masks etc so we see absolutely zero reasons why we can’t work on the face! The whole salon is cleaned and disinfected to an inch of its life! We are loosing money already by having to book out an extra 15mins between each client to sanitise and now we can’t do our clients again!!!

So to boris please sort this rubbish out, if pubs can stay open with zero PPE we should be aloud to trade with all ours! We aren’t asking for any money, all we want is the opportunity to work again!

And to anyone reading this, please think about all the beauty salons that you know and think of all the times the therapist stayed back for you after hours, or fitted you in when she had no gaps, or let you have that special offer even tho you booked the wrong day, or gave you a gift voucher for your local raffle, they now need a favour from you…….. they need your support, we need your support, please go and book a treatment that you maybe wouldn’t of had before, or if the business isn’t open yet see if they are selling gift vouchers or maybe buy some retail products!

They say after the storm always comes a rainbow and I do believe that, but I think this time we just need a bit of help in clearing the clouds away……

So the treatments we can offer at the moment are
Massage
Shellac hands/toes
Mani/pedi
Waxing
3D-Lipo
If you would like a treat please message us or call 357572

And if you aren’t a client of ours please visit your local beauty salon, you have no idea how grateful they will be

Our Story

💜Our Story💜

So our story begins with Louise being 15yrs old in a hairdressers as a Saturday girl. I would see glamorous ladies coming in for their hair doing and love how they looked when they left. They looked so happy and I thought I would love to make someone feel like that so once I was able to leave school I went straight into a hairdressing apprenticeship and leant all I could about hair…….

So fast forward a few years and I was now a senior stylist at Toni&Guy, One of my regular ladies came into the salon and I had dreamed of her lifestyle, you see she didn’t need to work, her husband had a brilliant job and her “busy” day would consist of popping to the gym, having her hair cut and then grabbing a bit of dinner with the girls before she went off shopping. I remember the day like it was yesterday when I had my “light bulb” moment. She sat down in front of me and told me it would be the last time she would be able to come and see me anymore as her husband had left her for a “younger” women and she was left with nothing, no career, no job, no money, no nice house, he took the lot.

Now that was a massive turning point in my life I knew then and there that I would always be rich in my own right and own my own things. I didn’t want to rely on anyone and if I wanted something I would work really hard and buy it myself, my mom use to say to my old boyfriends don’t tell Louise she can’t buy herself a Gucci handbag because she’ll come back with 2!!! Lol and I would!! I didn’t want anyone telling me I couldn’t have what I wanted or had worked hard for…….

My mom and dad were fantastic and told us from a very early age you can be anything you want to be or do anything that you want to do, you just have to work hard enough for it! They always backed us 100% and for that we are very lucky, they believed in our dreams which made them real.

So there I was doing this lovely ladies hair and I knew i wouldn’t see her again as she couldn’t afford it anymore, that day I decided to follow my dream of training again in beauty therapy to get all my skills up to scratch and open up my beauty salon. I wanted to make women feel amazing, put a spring in their step, encourage them to do the courses they might be enrolling on, or go for that job they were telling us about. I can honestly say we have been proud to be part of loads of wonderful things through our clients journeys.
We have been there doing nails for their wedding day, their spray tan for the hen do, the relaxing back massage before that job interview or after the hard exam and all the studying they had to take. The facial for christening of their baby making sure your skin was glowing for the pictures!

You see we are a big part of people’s lives and we really do like hearing about all your stories, helping you choose things or just a shoulder to cry on!! All our clients are like friends and we genuinely do love seeing you all and hearing what you have been up to…..

So why am I telling you all this? I believe for you to come and book a beauty treatment with us you need to know the real us and that we aren’t just “another” beauty salon, we are unique, just like you are…………

Therapy Skincare, where the beauty magic happens………..

Open letter from Louise

💜Covid happened……💜

Let me start by saying what a week it has been, It was heart breaking to have to close the doors to the salon, but I knew it was the right thing to do. We work far too close to people and to keep the 2 meter distant and It would have been impossible for us to keep trading and protect all our staff and clients at the same time. I want to thank all of you that have given your support, lovely phone calls, emails, messages and we even got sent some flowers from one of our amazing clients, even tho you all have stuff going on you made time for us and it’s not forgotten.

So was I worried about the salon closing??  yes, I now find myself in new waters, since I was 15yrs old I have always worked and never had any time off,  So not getting up at 7am every morning does feel very strange. I have spent all my days trying to sort out all my finances, on hold for up to 8hrs only to get cut off, I have been in a queue and number 141721 for my appointment and it came free at 1.45am and I had fallen asleep so had to start the whole process all again, as I type this I’m currently in another queue! This is not a pity party by any means I know there are millions of people sat doing the same thing as me. It has honestly been more stressful this last few days than having my salon for the last 15yrs who would of though that!!

Anyway anyone that knows me knows I’m like a whirlwind and a very positive person, and I always have a project on the go, so you’ll be pleased to know I am currently putting up a new fence in the garden! The sun has got his hat on and kiss FM is blasting out the tunes and gin is going down a treat as I’ve now forgotten what day it even is! They all blend in to one when you’re not at work don’t they!

After the sun goes in all I seem to do each day is wait for 5pm for Boris to come on in the hope of him bringing us some good news! I feel like we are in some sort of movie and a good guy like Bruce Willis is going to save the world by getting the bad guys and find an antidote to kill this horrible virus that’s sweeping the world. I watched the news last night and I saw that Spain is having to use an ice rink as a morgue , that was so sad it really upset me, then today on Facebook I watched a video of a guy showing the excel centre in London which they are making 4000 hospital beds and a morgue for. I have been to the Excel many times before for beauty trade shows and let me tell you it is a massive building. This really hit home just how horrific this virus really is. I’ve also seen videos of people licking subway handles, packets of food in supermarkets and all sharing the same lollypop,  thinking its really cool to do this and that they think the virus won’t touch them or its some kind of joke……. You’re the only one that’s a joke if you choose to do this, and they won’t find it funny if a loved one fell ill

So what positive things are happening? Well I have volunteered for the NHS and I was so pleased to read on the news that over 500,000 people have done this, I actually filled up with tears in my eyes, we really do live in Great Britain and I am so proud to be able to play my small part in it . We are working on a new thermal detox Nimue facial and will be using our time in isolation to do the training for that, also a lot of updates to our Instagram, Facebook and website will be going on while we have the time on our hands!!

I put a status up online the other day saying we know that a lot of clients do live on their own and while they don’t need any help I know it can be very lonely so I repeat this again, we are here for you!!! If you are lonely, depressed, bored or just want a chat and a catch up please feel free to give us a call, we will call you back as soon as we can! Our number is 357572, please call anytime and I mean that.

Finally I wanted to say I hope you and your family are all safe and well I am really looking forward to bringing you all the brilliant things we will be working on over the new few weeks while the salon is closed

See you on the other side……..

Love Louise x💜
