Terms & Cancellation Policy Halifax- Therapy Skincare


When becoming a client of Therapy Skincare you agree to abide by our Cancellation Policy & Terms of Business.

 Prices are correct at the time of publication and are subject to change without notice.

 We will respond to your e-mail enquirers within 24 hours wherever possible.

 If you are running late your treatment time may have to be shortened or rearranged to avoid inconvenience for other clients on our schedule.  If you are more than 15mins late we may not be able to carry out your service and full cost will be charged.

The Following Terms Apply To All Appointments Made.

All treatments costing over £100 will require a 50% booking fee when booking. Treatments over the value of £20 a booking fee of £10 is required and treatments over £40 require a booking fee of £20. Appointments are confirmed by us once the non- refundable booking fee has been secured. If a booking fee has not been made we reserve the right to cancel your appointment. 

Please give at least 24 hours notice should you wish to cancel an appointment as a courtesy to both our therapists and other clients. Giving this notice will enable us to re schedule your treatment to a more convenient time. Failure to give at least 24 hrs notice will result in forfeiture of your deposit or 50% of the value of your gift voucher.

If part of a booking is cancelled or changed after arrival, the full cost of the treatment(s) as booked will remain payable upon departure.

 Course appointments missed or late cancelled will automatically be deducted from course records.

Gift Vouchers And Pre-Paid Vouchers

Please check expiry date on prepaid treatments or vouchers

You need to advise & present the gift certificate or discount voucher at the time of booking and Therapy Skincare has the right to reject any booking if the voucher is not presented.

Vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash, sold or transferred.

You agree to keep your personal record held by the salon updated with your full contact details – which will enable us to contact you in the event of any change relating to your appointments. Where possible, please provide both land line and mobile telephone numbers.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that events and unavoidable circumstances mean that treatments may have to be cancelled or rearranged. We do ask that any appointments you want to cancel are done so at least 24 hours prior to treatment. If a treatment is cancelled last minute your booking fee will not be refunded. If you do not arrive to your appointment and have not informed us you are not attending your booking fee will not be refunded and you will have to pay up-front for treatments in the future. Cancellations should be made by phone (01422 357572) or by leaving a voice mail.


If you are late for your appointment our therapists will do our best to accommodate you. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, your appointment may have to be rescheduled. For new clients we do recommend you arrive 15 minutes early to fill out any necessary paperwork for your treatment.

Friends & Family

We do understand you may wish to bring friends or family with you to your appointment, but unfortunately our salon only allows room for the therapist and the client. Friends and family are more than welcome to wait in our reception although we do ask any children under 16 have adult supervision at all times. We do not have the facilities or staff to look after children while you are in treatment.

Pet policy

Animals are not permitted in the salon, please do not bring your pets with you when attending the salon, we will not be able to carry out treatments if pets are with you, for health and safety reasons. Guide dogs/support dogs are permitted.

Booking Fee

When booking in for a treatment we do require a £20 booking fee to secure your treatment. This can be paid over the phone or paid in salon, and must be done within 48hours of booking. Booking fees are non-refundable and will be deducted from treatment price on the day.

Personal belongings

We cannot be held responsible for any belongings brought into the salon; a basket is in the salon room for all personal property and will stay in the treatment room with you. Please ensure all belongings are taken with you when leaving the treatment room.

Gift Vouchers

Gift vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash, nor will cash be given for unused balances. Gift vouchers must be used within 3 months of purchase. Gift vouchers are non-refundable.


Courses must be paid for upfront; if a course of 8 treatments is bought they must be used within 3 months. Courses cannot be shared between clients.

Preparing for treatment

Please ensure you have visited our website and read our information on what to do before arriving for your treatment. If you are unsure or have any questions please don’t hesitate to call us and ask. For example, please arrive for your eyelash appointment with no eye make up on. Also, please ensure you have followed the correct procedure when preparing for your tan, i.e exfoliating, no make-up/ deodorant etc.

Health conditions/Allergies/Injury

Before booking your treatment please visit our website and check you have none of the contra-indications listed. If you are unsure whether a health condition or injury may prevent the treatment and it is not listed please call us and ask.

Please let the therapist know when booking if you have any allergies as this may prevent or restrict the treatment and can ensure your wellbeing throughout your visit to the salon.

If you have any recent injuries that you believe may restrict or prevent the treatment please make the therapist aware before booking.

 If you believe you may be pregnant or you are aware you are you must notify your therapist, as you will not be permitted to have a treatment.


Clients under 18 are not permitted to have any treatment in our salon.

Mobile phones

We do allow mobile phones to be on while you are in treatment but please ensure you have your phone with you as when you are the treatment bed you will not be able to get off until after the treatment has finished. Please ensure your mobile phone is on silent as other treatments are also going on.

Patch testing

Please keep in mind when booking for a tint, eyelash services or HD brows that we do require clients to have a patch test 48 hours prior to your appointment. Our therapists are not permitted to carry out any of these treatments if the client hasn’t had any patch test.
